As a speculator in this sector, I give no importance to future battery demand.

On paper, the ideal battery has many possible composites, e.g. Mg ion and TiO2 anode. No ideal battery has graphite. Tesla has said the gigafactory is being designed to be flexible for battery composition. Most alternative composites are cheap and developers point to compatibility with current battery design. At the pace this technology is moving, we could have more powerful, longer lasting and faster charging batteries quicker than a Mozzie can reach under a table to clutch a paper bag.
