If you mean the summer Olympics, you are correct. All stations have passed up the offer for the next summer olympics so the price will have to come down a fair bit.
I am not sure if the last winter sports were a disaster for broadcasters though.
While the winter olympics are generally not high on our priority, we have our biggest contingent of athletes competing at the event.
Also, Ten has the commonwealth games next year as well.
They are not lengthy events, but at least you can see which direction 10 are heading in.
If only they could jag the cricket, then they have something to hang their hat on. However, i really can't see 9 ever letting the cricket go. And with David Gyngell being in charge, I really couldn't see him letting it go.
