Norwood I think only connects you to WiFi hotspots, whereas FRX connects you to cellular data.

I would turn my phone on after landing (2 connections) and had data straight away in each city

For me- it is the standout roaming product on the market, they just need to get it in front of people, help them set it up and maybe investigate ways to make it easier to set up initially so people my parents age can do it.
