I have noticed that Telstra has blocked a website I would like to look at. Presumably because via this website one can access the Christchurch attack, although this isn't what I am seeking.
Telstra and Optus dominate internet carriage in Australia. By what right do they decide what we may and maynot see? Is there a set of rules, a censorship committee... how is it done? I suppose if I asked they would hide behind "we" as if hundreds of thousands of employees and shareholders unanimously decided.
Thousands of people died the moment the jets hit the twin towers, no censorship yet ....
It is dangerous to leave such censorship to be weilded at the whim of who?
