ResApp considers Sleep Apnoea to be the low hanging fruit as part of their broader digital health commercialisation strategy.
The algorithms are recent and were created under the wing of Dr Udantha and the tech team in Brisbane which proves ResApp is much more than a respiratory disease diagnostics company.
The current market cap fails to put any value on the platform technology ResApp has. The Sleep Apnoea app alone could be a unicorn.
Withings have recently joined the Sleep Apnoea bandwagon and will offer an update to their bed mat to recognise symptoms of the disease. They aim to have CE and FDA by the end of the year and it will be interesting to see whether they conduct any clinical trials.
Unfortunately for Withings, the market of consumers willing to purchase an expensive piece of hardware to run a Sleep test is slim.
