That Trump victory did save my 'ass' somewhat because I had fairly big exposure relatively speaking in the top 50 and timing was the issue as I go in early 2015 from the highs. Again I am more concerned with timing than just time in the market from an opportunity cost perspective.

I learned from the GFC revolutionary QE tool experience to never bet against the Feds besides just an opportunity. Goldbugs have been wrong for a long time.

That LT bond yield does look like 2016 was the low with the double bottom and maybe an end of cheap yields from here on? QE has corrupted Econ 101. Yield flattening usually is a very much leading indicator and can take years to play out.

If I try to find shadows, I am continually looking at USDCNY and the strengthening of the Yuan ever since that magic 7 handle rolleyes and the aggressive move off the low in the Chinese equity markets suggest a deal is to be made. I reckon from a Chinese perspective, they just want a deal, any deal for face saving venture and then get on with prudential tools to stimulate their economy under tight regulatory control!

IMO, rising bond yield is here to stay. How gold will react accordingly is a lot murkier between cost of more expensive holding through higher bond yields to gold=inflation hedge. I am still very much a student of gold fundamentals after so many years of reading and trying to understanding this complex metal.

My timing in RSG was again out buy about 2 months as the FOMO kicked in as I could see a reversal in XAUUSD. 94C was the ideal entry as I posted at the time but I got sucked in by an earlier reversal setup. I would have liked to average up my position on the Feb sell off but not average down!
