Here's one for you - if a particular stock has a thread full of amazingly upbeat and optimistic posters with not a single person saying anything to the contrary (yet the share price is in a downtrend), and the pack instantly jump and abuse anyone who dares not glorify the company - that is probably an indication to what you're saying.

Did anyone call it a sell at $5?

Nope. Just the same 3-4 posters constantly going on calling it a BUY yet earlier this week it was trading down ~40% from there.

End of the day, the market doesn't lie.
