re: black oil (off topic)
Black One, 'The survivors' is an interesting concept. The argument as to value is a different scenario. Alkane should get Wyoming up next year and that should have good shelf life albeit at a comparatively low production rate. Leviathan at Stawell should keep on keeping on at Stawell (nice production rate but all the spare cash goes back into development.) Bendigo kicks off towards the the end of next year/early 2006.It should then be around for ever as per Leviathan. Also has a similar drain on cash flow needing to fund development, but should have a better margin than Stawell. Ballarat also kicks off early 2006 last time I looked-will not be far behind BDG. Perserverance-has the resource base, but the grade vrs cost of recovery is real tight. BMO should get a bit of mileage out of Twin Peaks, AGC at Wiluna is another underground baby with shelf life. Equigold maybe at Mt Rawdon as the operators are some of the best in the industry. CRS should be there forever Central Norseman if they stop losing senior management. Reckon DEG will have a good minelife once they kickover. SED at Cracow has the opportunity of hitting more of these high grade pods. It is still early days for TRY at Sandstone on the Lord Henry/Lord Nelson structures.
Guess the gold industry is not in too bad shape. Note the move to underground operations , and Victoria heaven forbid? Sad thing is that the real gems were found some time ago.
Cheers,TAS
