Re food additives, preservatives and genetic modification, I believe it is possible to take steps to reduce intake of such affected foods, but I agree it is impossible to impractical to eliminate it.

My choices are also possibly environmentally selfish, given for example that wild caught fish reserves are under pressure ... there is always going to be a role for corporatised food production by the likes of Tassal.
