Yes BBO but when you look at the percentage that Noble hold in EDE, which in itself is a direct subsidiary of TAS (100%)
NOW look at how many shareholders there are in EDE and then look at how many shareholders there are in TAS, it basically makes a TAS share worth more than an EDE share if you get my drift?
I do understand why it would be worth less as a holding, simply because if EDE ever paid a dividend? then I am willing to bet that TAS would not pass on 100% of that dividend? maybe 80% or thereabouts? and it also revolves around the blocking that this holding presents to the market.
BUT the Soloman's hold a hell of a lot of TAS, if they believe that the TAS shares are worth more than an EDE share? don't you think that at some point they will cash in on that supposed difference?
I reckon they will do something about this, and if I am right it revolves around a US listing for EDE, EDE will have to come up with more shares, hence more dilution? but what if TAS handed over those Noble shares to EDE on a one for one basis? EDE get 1.4 or something like that value for one share in EDE, so EDE are about .4 of a share better off, this is in my opinion is where the shares for a US listing will come from?
TAS shareholders get at least a level footing in EDE shares, which by the way is more that they are worth now and they also get to keep whatever TAS also has to offer.
EDE get the shares they need for a US listing at a discount, which means less dilution for EDE shareholders, AND this also takes away the blocking that has been there, as far as a possible takeover of EDE goes, which has always been a stumbling block as far as institutional investors are concerned, the brakes would be off at long last, no more blocking method re takeover?
A win win all around IMHO!
I know I have presented this scenario before, but I believe it has merit?
