nothing wrong with that. just not many people can take that long a view.
but agreed - if you just think of bank stocks like rental property - just focus on the yield income and only check capital value when you decide you might like to sell - then they have generally been very solid performers.
properfty is the better performer because of leverage generally - but on straight price basis shares look better on paper.
that said - no way in hell i;d be buying BOQ on that basis right now.
that would be like buying a house in Sydney right now.
ultimately sure - money almost certainly wont be lost if you hold for 10 years.
but you will, again almost certainly, pay considerably less for it somewhere in the next 2 years.
check any chart of either asset class.
