I don't think anyone could question the credibility of Dr Parker but I doubt he is trialling it as we speak or we would have had an announcement? And really why wouldn't he do a trial - BPO have now said they can diagnose Melancholic -v- Non melancholic depression which if you research Dr Parker it is his thing & differs from the diagnostic language used elsewhere which is DSMIV. So they've tailored a trial to suit. Anyway it is very good news as no doubt the psychs know what they're diagnosing. Dr Parker is not taking any risks in terms of investment as I'm assuming the Uni/Black Dog will expect to be paid in real cash for running a trial. Where did you get six months from - the announcement says the trial will involve serial recordings & results won't be published until second half of 2015? Meanwhile you've got Mr Solitario (as announced) repeatedly talking about a marvelous consumer mobile phone app for diagnosing stress that he said was ready to be commercialized & all the plans for the US where they don't even have the patent. (I'm still wondering what happened to the world wide suite of 3 patents. What that was all about we'll likely never know). And why anyone would spend all that $ trying to develop & flog a phone app to consumers that costs $40 each prior to the big validation sounds a little strange. Seriously who is going to buy that.
I don't think anyone is dissing the actual technology or the medical professionals involved it is the way that things are done (or not done) by the company that are concerning. I am trying hard not to be skeptical. It would be great to see the potential of this technology realized & in the right hands perhaps it could be. Hopefully that is BPO given that they have the board sorted now.
