Prana did not indicate what form the Takeda collaboration took, money, expertise etc . Just going in with a single MPAC looking for efficacy, was pretty optimistic.  On the other hand it is important to know that a drug for PD does no harm to good gut flora, and even there, as pivalde posted above, we don't fully understand that system yet. Maybe IV dosing is an option, or a coated pill to get it past the stomach. I for sure don't know. Perhaps they are trying to develop a screening method for more of Prana's MPACs. It is possibly commercially sensitive info at this point.
