"Why all of the sudden so much interest" - Only my anecdotal view on it, but there seems to be demand for these tech/data/communication type stocks as the telcos seem fully priced. Punters are looking for the next opportunity so chasing things like SLC and SDA, which has also been doing well recently. This has been my reasoning as I hold VOC via AMM, IIN soon to be TPM and TLS, then recently went in to SLC and SDA. Also, one of the reasons is Michael Malone, founder of IIN, is heavily in to both and on the boards, I'm guessing he knows what he's doing.
