I think most of us are saying there is unlikely to be another bidder because SABMiller is the second largest brewer by revenue and most other players would need to consider a joint venture takeover.
That said Fosters have very good margins and well established brands and large market share in an established market. This opportunity does not come up every day so there could well be other players out there who need to move now or miss out altogether.
The market certainly seems to think there will be a higher bid as the SP continues to grind higher. It will be very interesting to see where it closes.
