Agreed. 63 odd million shorts as of 31st of July. 10 million odd traded today. If the shorters are starting to cover, I expect some of today’s volume will be wash trading, with shorters selling to themselves in an attempt to keep the price down, so it could take quite a few days to cover the open short positions. Tomorrow should give more of a clue as to what is happening. As you say, if it keeps giving off buy signals, longs will increasingly move in on the action and really turn up the heat on those tens of millions of shorts. Could be very interesting indeed......GL
