    Cheers, here you go.

Genesys has their Purecloud contact centre platform with an embedded recording system which is scalable, with integrated add on analytics modules. Nice for customers wanting the entire contact centre platform or components therein with recording enabled out of the box.

Telstra has the Call N hosted recoding platform which is meant to be pretty nice, again with full speech analytics. Cheap price per seat per month too.

That's all I have time for tonight and they are just local Australian companies, there's a number of big European and American hosted providers.

That aside, resellers of Calabrio, Red Box, Verint and others can spin out a full recording system with speech analytics quickly into a cloud or a fully virtualised vmware or hyper_V instance.

The beauty of this is the customer can enjoy the benefits of a hosted cloud environment but have it rolled out within their own VM cluster or virtual on premise environment, meaning all their sensitive customer data is stored in their own secure network, not shared in the cloud with another 300 customers.

Another threat is the PBX vendors. Despite what others will have you think, people aren't rushing down to cash converters with their physical PBX to embrace a cloud PBX or UC platform.

Some are but many aren't and NEC, LG Aria, Avaya, Mitel, Shoretel and the rest have an embedded recorder, many of those giving it away for free so they get the telephony part.

Cloud is definitely the future for a good size of the market no doubt though.

Hopefully you can see I get this and am not being negative but just realistic.

If are serious about investing in a company then you will want to understand exactly where you're investment sits, ensuring board promises and dreams of multi bag returns don't place the rose coloured glasses in place and you'll see where both opportunity and risk sits as things move ahead.

Let me know if you find any competition that you don't think measures up and happy to take a look.
