Ragingboom I've said before on this forum that I enjoy your optimism for this and other stocks, so this is not a criticism, but to answer your question one possible reason is that for as long as I have been following and had a position in the stock (2008) it has been very thinly traded indeed... accordingly I suspect the majority of shareholders share the directors' opinion that the stock has been undervalued and overlooked by the market and would be resistant to a takeover at anything like current levels.
I originally bought a small parcel at 12cents well before the consolidation and I have been averaging down ever since!
Raginboom haven't you argued in the past that the small group of dissident shareholders (the ones who you told us have sold out their estimated 7 million share position earlier this year)were able to use the small volumes to drive the share price down in the lead up to last years meeting?
We all know they couldn't get the numbers at that meeting despite having a web site and going to the trouble of launching a mail out campaign. Whilst there appeared to be some merit in some of their genuine concerns and whilst I also share some of the concerns aired here about corporate governance of our company, the fact remains that a significant number of shareholders are likely to see a real chance of NSP transitioning to a successful dividend paying company at some point in the forseeable future. These people won't let their dream go cheaply...simple answer! It's a bit like a politician counting numbers.
Personally what I would like to see is any analyst from any broking house have an objective look at what our company is actually worth now as well as a critical look at its future prospects. Until then I'm happy to hold and increase my stake in any weakness. For me this is a speculative position. I believe there is a place for a speculative position or two in most portfolios.
I bought another small parcel late last week at 3.9 cents but my broker wouldn't complete my entire order that day when there were shares available at 4.5cents on the day, because the stock had already risen by >15% that day and the further jump from 3.9 cents to 4.5 cents would see questions asked.
Further whilst I share some of the sentiments expressed here about dilution of holdings, the shares issued or to be issued to "Andrew" in satisfaction of a loan, at least seem to imply a floor for me of 7 cents at present.
I've been following others comments on this forum with interest and look forward to any further observations, especially from Kosenar who always seems to write with that uncommon quality...common sense.
Regards to all....just maybe one day this ship will come in but don't expect it any time too soon.
