Takeover? I'm not feeling it. BigW & Masters MIGHT be up for sale together but not seperate. Rumors right... You never know, an interested party might be looking at buying BigW but might need to take masters with it. Stuff gets said by people and posted on forums. Speculation abounds
Maybe Wow has too many stores and the costs are hurting. It's all speculation. My wife and I prefer Woolworths to Coles just for the range available. For that reason I (me) believes once the excess baggage is discarded WOW will get back on track to being the preferred supermarket. Wesfarmers already has the alcohol industry in the bag. They just need to get their other interests in order.
