It might create a price ceiling of around $10/$11 for the Gas as that is what the Forrest gas is being offered at, but I would be exceptionally pleased if we got anywhere near $10.
Forrest having a dig at Santos/Narribri is just him playing politics hoping to put the brakes on Narribri as he simply wont be able to compete on costs with Santos Gas from NSW considering the Forest Gas would need to be liquified, shipped, regassified and then piped to NSW customers versus Narribri gas which will just need processing and piping around NSW. If NSW dont go ahead with Narribri they are locking themselves into high gas prices for a long time if not forever.
