Even though DS had plenty of inventory (if that is what you mean by stocks ) over Christmas it was unable to sell that inventory at barely cost price , that is not a good business model to emulate .
(They did not seem to have very good Christmas advertising for their bargains I noticed )
Its Revenue /COG then also profit margin that needs to be looked at as well as turnover when evaluating an established retail business .
