I must admit, I am still grappling with the point about KP not having direct geothermal experience.

An analogy: To run a successful restaurant/hotel business, the owner does not him/herself does not need to be the chef (although it might be advantageous if the chef walks out).

To be an effect manager, you don't need to be the one actually performing the activity, but is about getting the best people around you. Co-ordinating etc.

I would rather a chartered accountant/finance person run a corporation anyday - leave the direct geothermal work for the engineers.
