overcharge? If they did that, people can just move to the other providers. Govt should just keep their hands off. Just let all the energy companies duke it out. Price rises are a result of the govt being involved. If govt gets OUT then all will be fine.
think NBN... $100 billion spent to provide the same internet that was available in 2004. My internet from 2004 is better than what the NBN can give me. I am being forced to move to a worse service. My Telstra cable currently provides an outstanding level of service (download and ping). The NBN will be a worse service. How do I know? I installed NBN and left my cable and compare the two for a couple of days. NBN stinks (compared to what I have had for 14 years).
Point: govt involved = worse for EVERYBODY!!!!! Providers and clients. (but good for govt as they get their fingers in the till and keep some money for their 'departments' and staff). And you know how 'efficient' govt workers are.
