The Conference Call allowed some expansion of the brief summary in the Quarterly Report, and particularly highlighted the key role that Spherical Graphite will play in the future of the company.

So what's new about that? A couple of key points, actually, which are important to Syrah holders (and possibly a little sobering for competitors)

First was the news of recent work using the Pilot Plant, which actually uses similar sized units to a commercial plant, but includes only three units, compared to 15 or more for a commercial plant. Syrah has now reported successful production of high-quality Spheroidal Graphite, at high yield, from input of only 38 micron flake size.

Also significant was the statement that the proposed SG plant could be in production at approximately the same time as volume production commences at Balama, meaning that SG could be produced about June of next year. There are no big delays foreseen in plant construction, as units have a lead time of about two months, and installation requires only another couple of months. So the Board is not under immediate pressure to deliver a formal decision, but it all looks very likely - and soon enough to maintain a big lead over the competition..

Finally, Tolga again emphasised the company's intent to become the world's base-load supplier of high-quality graphite, at a competitive price.

    Lots to like!

    Cheers,
