Let me rephrase for clarity, the graphite salt or expandable graphite that is shipped to the plant in Terrebonne is produced by the IMREYS Baotou plant in China (IMERYS took majority ownership in 2005) and exfoliated / expanded at the Terrebonne plant North of Montreal. The IMREYS Terrebonne facility has micronisation, graphite exfoliation, and limited thermal purification.
This is the exact information that I had indicated in my prior post, but used the incorrect operative word of "produce" instead of "exfoliate / expand."...all graphite salts / expandable graphite is sourced from the IMREYS plant in Baotou and Terrebonne is a post process facility since it was built in the almost 2 decades ago.
The 15 or so minority owners of the remaining 15% are private owners and not companies from my research in 2008.
I will be more precise in my defined wording next time.
