symbion could be in strife over viagra

Symbion have some explaing to do after allegedly supplying counterfeit or parallel imported Viagra (some 750,000 packs in question) to the Australian market.

This is highly irregular and goes to the heart of integrity of supply through the correct distribution chain.

A recall was announce late today (Thursday).

Pfizer the only company permitted to supply Viagra to the Australian market will be investigating thoughly.

Amongst the possible scenarios are that there has been substition by a third party during transport from Pfizer or Symbion has knowingly or inadvertently sourced counterfeit product from a third party from within or outside Australia. Symbion is now owned by the Asian based Zuellig Group.
