Thank you for a brilliant post. Nothing new in the sense of news, but the way you put ERG into historical perspective is so precise and concise.

Yes ERG was lucky to get a start in Asia where its technology was unencumbered by Western politicking and wasteful bureaucracy.

You put Duncan Saville’s saving role very well. How amazing that some otherwise thoughtful and intelligent posters cannot see that, and begrudge him the profits he made in Jan.

The Lazio imbroglio epitomizes the wasteful proclivities of Western democratic institutions vis-à-vis companies like ERG who are tendering for vital transit services.

There are interminable meetings, both in time and number, and every meeting brings some new issue to the table which further clouds the specifications and drives ERG’s profitability into the ground.
And then there is the great Western idea of ‘suing the bastards’.

CUBIC knowingly and decisively intended to ‘murder’ ERG. The language of the Sydney Court in dismissing CUBIC’s injunction was ‘colourful’ and extremely condemning.

To the best of my knowledge Michael West never ‘murmured’ in the face of deliberate Corporate Assassination. Michael’s imagery, ‘Who is ERG sleeping with?’ is colourful, but it begs the question, who is Michael sleeping with?

iii. Expect some ‘reward’ for that.
