Maybe not hydrocarbons at that stage,but the geological structure gave OTHER EVIDENCE of something and remember the wireline logs had not been done at that stage.Anyway logs are not the only thing to go by!you must remember this permit area is not just one drill spot.
Lets not forget the SEEPS and the big picture.
