Mangels...I've owned racehorses as well...and it pays to have the boy on board right onside!

He (I've never used a "she" as a jockey) can make or break you.

Plus...you've got to know the politics and pecking order of the stable...and many a fresh faced, bug-eyed new horse owner has been scorched!

But...relative to OIP...love your analogy...and the last time I checked, there's no pay out for 6th place!

Now...what is going to happen in the next run though? That is the real question because someone is setting this up!

PS., take my comments with a grain of salt...I openly declare that I am still waiting to win the Melbourne Cup (or any major race for that matter)!
