I am unable to contribute re STX, however here are some thought re SXY.
Based on past practice of SXY and my perception of culture (incl CEO ID ego), I think that SXY would not do any script for script action (or agree to it being done to them) unless they felt that they were taking over.
Potential in-basin suitors (STO, BLO, DLS) are a possibility for offering to buy SXY, but I am uncertain whether they would have enough free cash to get an agreed takeover.
SXY is developing gas assets of several types (Hornet most advanced) so my thinking is that they may be of interest to a gas-oriented company, of which ORG seems logical suitor (and a current JV partner). But IMO ORG would not want to issue script, hence would need to be cash. But ORG would not be wanting to make such an investment until, APLNG begins shipping and full plant cost finalised, which would seem to mean second half CY2015 or later.
Critical comment welcome.
