There isn't enough gold to support global currency
There would be enough Gold around but as Davo / Jim Rickards etc. point out at what price per ounce?
I’m not sure if we will ever see any type of partial backing of paper money by Gold; however, I think we all agree in here we could use some system that forces the powers that be to be honest and accountable.
Had Nixon not been allowed to close the Gold window in August 1971 and stop the flow of Gold out of the USA to France and other places the Vietnam war could not have been expanded saving countless lives including many young Australians. That single point would be enough for most people with active brain cells to consider the need of some type of Gold or other money printing limiting system being put in place.
Maybe Davo is right and we don’t have bright people running the show and it’s a case of the lunatics running the asylum, there are many days when I think this is most probable.
Some good news this week the young bloke that personally trains the chap that makes my fancy coffee has learned he has been successful in his application for a loan to complete his doctorate in sports science!
