agree with your sentiments dictionary, the reason I first got into GBP was when Tullow/Eni were fighting over Herritage Oil's 50% stake in several Ugandan blocks, with Tullow eventually winning and forking out $1.5 billion USD, on top of that Chinese oil giant CNOOC is about to ink a $4 billion USD joint venture with Tullow to develop the Ugandan fields and their 700 million+ barrels of reserves, goes to show the possible upside for both GBP and Tower should they have a major find.
as an interesting side note, if this latest well is successfull Tower Resources plans to drill up to another 8 wells all with similar huge targets.
has certainly been a wild trading night in the UK with the shareprices of both GBP and Tower having massive intra-day swings, volume is huge for Tower with 15.5 million shares changing hands in the first two hours.
good to see GBP still up 8.37%.
