Sure I may have some decent contacts with VMT, but it's quite obvious that you are miles in front of most when it comes to proper business analysis and in depth knowledge of balance sheets.
Could you please ring Phil again (he will talk to you) while this is all fresh in his mind, and hear what he's got to say about all this.
You will know the hard(er) questions to ask and it would be good to get your second opinion posted here, about what's currently going on.
