I remember hearing about the behaviour of drivers on the road when it comes to cane trains years ago and it seems nothing has changed, or if anything it has become worse. The above audio file seems to back that view.
DTI's level crossing solutions that include HD capture of vehicles travelling at up to 240kph and capturing all vehicle details including license plates, colours and other unique markings amongst a variety of other services might make the drivers of the trucks, cars, caravans and so on that continue to brazenly drive through level crossings oblivious of the cane trains think twice or suffer the consequences.
With a combined network of 250 locomotives hauling 52,000 bins of between 4-15 tonnes each on 3,980km of track across 20 cane train networks throughout Queensland, this is yet another substantial market opportunity for DTI going forward. It seems to be a company with a never-ending pipeline of opportunities and with each passing day its market cap and share price increasingly appear to be as cheap as chips.
