You can drive yourself crazy watching short term price swings.. or worse, start to quaff the Technical Analysis voodoo about magic numbers.
If gold is weak, that sparks a sell down in van Eck Junior Gold Miners ETF which depresses a basket of mining stocks. This pushes down the sector (as well as individual sell offs in gold stocks) and barring any news this will drag down companies like WAF as funds that buy by block sector also sell off. Track WAF against the gold sector if you want to see how things are really going.
