Chilloutman, that's what I intend to do. I would no more invest in a mining explorer that didn't offer any data on its prospects than a new tech company like SHE. Even when data is provided there are still so many opportunities to lose money (insufficient data provided, poor execution of business strategy, sector downturn, etc). Not saying any of that about SHE, just that there is little data to work with, and in the absence of data any investment has to be based on faith in the company's sales pitch - imo.

I would like to see wave energy work and be viable, after investing for many years in various mining sectors I have turned my attention to new technology sectors and in particular I have developed an "affinity" in renewable energy stocks because I believe in the potential of the sector vis a vis coal, oil & gas - long term. But wave energy does compete with other energy technologies (whether it be wind, solar, hydro, biomass, geothermal, etc) - they all have the pros & cons, their strengths & weaknesses, and we will see each targeted to certain markets and compete on their merits for that reason. But renewable energy isn't free energy - it costs something to extract it and transmit it, and viability is also governed by market prices, because energy is a commodity.

So we will see - at this stage its not that I am sceptical about the technology - I'm agnostic about it, and asking questions - simply because I don't have the data to form a view. But I have learned to be sceptical of companies that don't publish data - I've been burned previously (several times) by such companies, and also logically I am of the view that if the data is good, then its the best advertising material - because why wouldn't you want to promote how great a product is in an un-disputable way?
