This year Gov. awards the Submarines to be built in France. BUT
The next one is in Adelaide for sure based on my internal letter from Union.
I think ASB will have to expand its business and ASB has strong cash flows to do so. Buy on the news for me.

WE WON.

We have been campaigning for three and a half years. We have held countless rallies, walked the corridors of Parliament House in hi-vis, crowdfunded billlboards, knocked on doors, cultivated a sophisticated online presence, delivered thousands of flyers, and filled hundreds of petitions.

After all this, today we have finally won a local build of submarines.

The Government has announced that 12 submarines will be built in Adelaide from 2025.



The build and maintenance of the 12 subs will extend over thirty years, cost $150 billion and create tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

Today's win comes off the back of last week's announcement that 12 Offshore Patrol Vessels and 21 Pacific Patrol boats will be built in Adelaide and Perth from 2018.

Together, as a Union, we have fought to secure the future of Australian shipbuilding and we have won.
