Gage Road craps on Sail and Anchor. Though probably not technically a craft beer, they are still a much better proposition from a consumer's perspective than Sail & Anchor, or the domestically produced Euro franchised beers mentioned.
On the shelf they have suffered form poor branding & labeling in the past. As one of the early movers before the craft (and faux craft) explosion, I think they got lost amongst all the funky-looking new competitors that engulfed the space. Looking at theur rebranding now, I feel like their on the right track.
It's the first time I've really started noticing them again on the shelves, and buying them (and being impressed). Now, if my experience can just be replicated x a few million, we'll be laughin!
