Yes a poisoned chalice is a bit harsh.. you are right. Sorry.
But hey :)) just imagine having the job of unwinding Fiji. :))
All the wierd interwoven cross-ownerships. People with vested interests trying to shove a spanner in the works, delay you... and generally act up to make life hard and frustrating.
At the end of the day I predict a long and difficult path here. Remembering that nobody, especially SXX, gets a cent from anyone until someone has the authority to sell the land, and someone actually buys it. And then you deduct commissions and many expenses. That could take a long long time. And, what is left?
Think... you call in the mortgage... sounds easy. NBB attempts to refinance to pay it out.... which means endless delays getting valuations etc etc... then NBB find it is only "worth" say 2mill. Oops! NBB... debt of $7m, assets of $2m. What does that suggest.
There are many scenarios. Plus of course what is in the Mortage terms.. the fine print. What nasty surprises.
And then finding some mug to come across with anything like a decent cash price for the land. Fiji is beautiful, but it is hardly flavour of the month. A cyclone recently, then only last week on the TV-news a tsunami false alarm and everyone in Fiji headed for high ground.
Does not do a lot for beachfront land.
That is just for starters. Then trying to flog 5% of Bigrlyi..... plus shares at a low point in the market. Still..... a SP that approaches NTAB is appealing...
well, it would be if there was any SANE idea about what that realisable NTAB is... !
The upside of at least (effectively) getting well over two cents in the medium term even into 3's or 4's(somehow they NEED to immediately achieve this) means a multiple of SP and ones investment too. Hey Nice. but don't hold your breath.
So when the lads step out onto the dusty Sydney street to face off, who goes to Boot Hill ???
The Noble Boys are doing a great job, and that can falsely lead one to think they will win.... not necesarily of course.
I am barracking for...... the Winner of course! :) Go Boris, and Noble Boys too.
