Putting a positive spin on this coup, at least they don't appear to be communist rebels looking to turn the country upside down. They appear to simply pissed off at the lack of support for the soldiers in fighting the rebels in the north. They have also promised elections will be held as soon as possible (although we've heard such promises before, and the elections never seem to actually happen).

At this stage, I would think this will be more like a South Pacific style coup......a bit of argy bargy, but nothing terribly sinister.

Time will tell I guess.
