DB, you may be right about an Apache-type co but I can't see any sovereign-type entity getting a look in, except maybe as a sustantial shareholder well below control threshold. Just as Shell could not take control of WPL and had to be satisfied with their 25%-odd (not sure what current shareholding is) holding in WPL because of concerns they could operate against the national interest, eg ship LNG from the Canning exclusively offshore when WA had a dire need of gas for major future resource developments. Just my opinion of course. That's not to say somebody won't have a go though.
