yeah you are right, some methadone patients are bad people, but not all. Thing is when one comes into my pharmacy they are treated just like anyone else until proven otherwise. Sometimes they need to be pulled into line, sometimes not. I recently had one that probably would have ended up back in jail if not for some of our interventions including negotiating with the health department for some specific extraordinary service requirements. I know one discount chain that wouldn't do that, I guarantee you supermarkets wouldn't do that. By your own admission, you stopped going to "that shopping centre" so as a consumer you don't expect these types of services to exist in your precious shopping centres or indeed in the supermarkets you want to provide pharmaceutical services... well where are they going exist under your ideal system? Probably in some government run program costing millions for what is being done now for free to the taxpayer in most community pharmacies(yes even in the good suburbs) with very little fuss or undue problems to the community.
