Even if Presto and QFX are able to finalise an agreement what do you think the revenue benefit will be in it for them as just a resaler of Presto content, other than being able to dump the cost of non ppv streaming licencing?
All QFX is left with is PPV where margins are minimal and obsolete DVD post service which has being dying for years.
And then there is the simple point that Presto + QFLX is still an inferior quality less value service compared to Netflix. Presto is $15 a month compared to $9/$12 a month for NFLX,
Netflix offers better streaming technology (no pauses) my parents signed up for NFLX and they only have standard ADSL connection think its about 512kbs when watching YouTube it pauses, NFLX is stutter free for entire movie because NFLX have spent 10's millions or more over the years perfecting their streaming apps/software.
Netflix is SD,HD or even 4k, Presto is only SD
Netflix content vastly superior to any local Aussie providers, plus in a VPN and you gain access to all their global content including US for just $9 a month.
Netflix already has unmetered ISP deals, QFX has none.
Netflix has the best apps, desktop software, not only in user algorithms but also ability for parents to filter out content so kids can safely search as well.
QFX,Presto,Stan might be able to hold on to a few subscribers each but they will never reach the numbers or be able to compete with a global giant like NFLX.
Investing NFLX has gone from $200 a share to $600 in two years for good reason, it offers an excellent service, value for consumers in every country they operate in.
