Guys I am watching the trades for months now and I always saw that the buy bids were coming off-screen all the time as it was happening yesterday as well. I have seen that kind of buying on only couple of stock for years. The capping was obvious btw. All that operation was for accumulating at low prices.
However it's not going to be easy for anyone to takeover NML in the current situation of Vic gold rush V.2.0 because there are too many strong players in the game.
As
@rivermore listed above, the players are;
- Crocodile Gold Aust. P/L (Kirkland Lake) own ................ 10.59%
- VBS Exchange P/L (Smorgon Group) own ..................... 10.59%
- NML management own ................................................... 12.18%.
- Chalice Mining (CHN) is in NMLs Top 20 owns ............... 1.82%
- Arete Capital (Hugh Morgan) now run Stawell Gold Mine
- Gina Rinehart (Mining Co.) CYL's 50% JV partner in Four Eagles Project
- CYL is 51% JV with NML in Tandarra Project
- St Barbara Mining is holding 16% in CYL.
- Newmont Mining is now in the area holding tenements
If a deal happens between Kirkland Lake and Smorgon Group/Arete Capital Strategic partnership who own same amount of percentage (10.59% each) in NML, to buy out the remaining shares, then other majors might strike by an offer. That could be Newmont or someone else. Hard to know.
