What price would you have liked to see realised for the sale? I haven't followed the story as long as many here and invested purely on a shell basis, with bonus monetisation potential for the two main assets.
They acquired the project, essentially, at no cost, save a few annual payments to the shire and a future 3% NSR. SML have born a majority of exploration costs in recent times, to earn their 50%.
When you refer to only recouping cost, are you inferring that is the amount spent on the project by NAE, since acquisition?
May have missed it but I haven't seen any scoping study to derive an early NPV, which makes it hard to confidently say what's being forgone and what sort of risks are involved, capex/finance requirements.
