    Well, that’s rather a snag - you can’t actually “put out” a battery fire. It’s a self contained chemical reaction, you can’t just starve it of oxygen, or remove the heat source. You have to let it finish. There was one at Woolloongabba recently.

    And no, this isn’t like having 130lt of fuel in a tank. These batteries are self igniting for no known reason, there aren’t any safety measures you can take yourself. Except to position them several metres away from your house.
