    The main problem to overcome was how to take the existing technology and sell an overpriced, short range car with long refuel times (I know they’re shorter now, but initially recharges took several hours even with the extra cost quick charge option).

    Solution. Make sure the performance is electrifying. Make it new age, online ordering with no conventional dealers. Plenty of Green hype, Musk hype, auto-driving hype, and subsidies for the cars. Innovative marketing. It’s cool, it’s fast, a seven seater saloon with Ferrari performance. American (mostly). Robotic production line.
