Hi Froggy, can you explain where Tesla has innovated, except possibly in the marketing and accounting spheres? Unless you’re thinking of the self-driving aspect, I suppose, an innovation appreciated by undertakers if no one else.
Hi Jant, I agree with you that the "self driving" still has a long way to go, but they're working on it, thats innovative.
To say Tesla hasn't been innovative with electric cars is a very big call, and totally wrong imo. They have put innovation before profits.
Would the ev industry be where it is today without tesla?
The work they've done with batteries, bringing down the cost of ev's, with the model S being comparable to a new holden sedan, dotting 3 continents with charging stations isn't innovative? There's a 35 tonne semi on it's way, the new roadster can travel nearly 800klm on a single charge and reach speeds of 300klm, thats innovative. The model X was the first SUV to achieve a 5 star crash rating, not innovative enough?
Last december Norway registered 266 Tesla's in one day! No company gets the where Tesla is without being innovative. It's single handedly sent a wake up call to car manufacturers world wide.
The physicist Nikola Tesla would be smiling from his grave with utmost approval.
