In energy, M&A conjecture continues to swirl in the Cooper Basin after Kerry Stokes’ Seven Group lifted its stake in Drillsearch. Seven tapped Deutsche Bank on the $43m purchase, and while it has long hinted it just wants a seat at the table in case consolidation takes place, there are some willing to suggest Seven may make a takeover of its own.
