As long as they find oil in commercial quantity there will be a significant impact on GBP's share price. It will not retrace to its former low level and provide a base for future capital raisings if that were to become necessary. Not that they actually need funds for quite a while.

I suspect the bigger near term run in the share price will come once they actually start drilling and provide frequent updates.
